Increase your skills and build your community

As therapists, staying updated and connected can make a huge impact on our clinical skills. EMDR can be an especially daunting modality to learn and integrate into your practice, especially right after basic training. Consultation sessions are designed to help provide therapists with a supportive environment where they can better understand implementing EMDR, refine their skills, explore challenging cases and build confidence!

Some therapists like to use consultation to tackle complex cases with confidence, get peer feedback or process specific questions or situations they are not familiar with. Others use it to become an EMDRIA Certified Therapist or EMDRIA Approved Consultant. No matter what you choose, committing to consultation is an incredible opportunity to increase your skills, ask questions, enhance your knowledge, and increase your confidence.

Similar to individual therapy, finding the right consultant can make all the difference. You should feel comfortable with who you choose, as you will need to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and collaborating on cases. In addition, you want to make sure the consultant you work with is knowledgeable about the population and/or modality you work with.

To help give some of this information, I have a quick blurb about the style I like to use and the populations I work most prominently with farther down the page. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out via the contact page or email, phone or text (listed at the bottom of each page and on the contact me page).

Who I Am

  • I believe in keeping things professional, but fun. You are a professional and a colleague and I plan to treat you as such. I like to collaborate, use research and laugh during our meetings. My primary goals are to help you enjoy, understand and believe in the work you are doing.

  • I have experience providing EMDR to clients in residential, community mental health, schools, and private practice. I have used EMDR with in person clients and am currently solely providing services virtually.

  • My current population is primarily working with adults with complex trauma, ADHD, anxiety and perfectionism.

In the past, I have worked extensively with athletes, performers and survivors of human trafficking and/or sexual assault.

I love the brain and often integrate EMDR with neuroscience, polyvagal theory, somatic awareness, and parts language (IFS focused). I also like to use a lot of humor with my clients, throughout all the phases.

I am trained in RTEP/GTEP and have worked with clients to reduce activation related to recent traumatic events using these protocols.

    • Somatic awareness and somatic exercises

    • Parts work from an IFS framework

    • Polyvagal and Interpersonal Neurobiology

    • Attachment focused skills

    • Overall exploration of how the brain and body work together

  • I completed basic training in 2016 with HAP in Orlando, Florida.

I have been certified in EMDR since 2018

I have been an EMDRIA Approved Consultant since 2025

The first half of the group will be focused on a specific phase with video examples to help better understand how to implement practical application of each phase in sessions (please note these will be role plays between two consultants, which will be recorded specifically for the group, not actual sessions).

The second half of group will be focused on specific case consultation, as well as, answering specific questions about stuck points you may have run into.

As a group, we will also review paperwork/scripts to answer more specific questions help make it easier to understand and set up how to use your scripts/paperwork in sessions.
